A pseudo-volunteer who sold 4 cars for the Armed Forces will be tried in Lviv

“Volunteer” sold 4 cars intended for the Armed Forces – the case is in court

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 38-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhya Oblast for selling humanitarian aid under martial law (part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused, acting in complicity with other persons, sold four cars imported to Ukraine as humanitarian aid for one of the charitable foundations in July of this year. He placed an ad for the sale of cars on one of the websites.

As a result of illegal actions, the defendant received a profit in the total amount of UAH 517,000.

The sanction of the specified article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years and with confiscation of property.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
