A patrolman, off-duty, made a hot pursuit to apprehend a likely intruder who damaged 6 vehicles
Inspector Sviatoslav Gierchakowski from the public relations department woke up around 4 a.m. to screams and the sound of broken glass. The incident took place on Jacob Holowacki Street.
He ran out onto the balcony and saw the neighbours’ cars smashed up. The person who did it managed to run away, but eyewitnesses provided a description of the person involved and pointed out the direction where the unknown person had gone.
The policeman wasted no time in running to look for the person mentioned. In one of the neighbouring streets he found a girl similar in description. The 21-year-old young woman confessed to the offence.
The owners of 6 cars: Ford Focus, VAZ, Peugeot, Volkswagen, Renault and Fiat wrote statements.
Investigators were working at the scene.
