In the Lviv district, an elderly passenger of a car was injured as a result of a road accident – law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on June 20, around 9:00 p.m., in the village of Lisnovichi, Lviv District.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Opel Zafira car, a 27-year-old local resident, lost control, drove out of the roadway, after which the car overturned.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the passenger car, a 67-year-old local resident, received injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.
It was established that the driver of the car was in a state of alcohol intoxication.
As a matter of fact, the investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
