One dead and three injured in a car collision in Lviv region – police are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on April 16, at about 14:30, on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Pasiky-Zubrytski, Lviv district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of an Audi Q7, a 31-year-old resident of a village in Zolochiv district, lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with an Isuzu driven by a 56-year-old resident of Lviv.
The passenger of the Audi Q7, a 52-year-old resident of Zolochiv district, died at the scene of the accident.
The drivers of both vehicles and a passenger of the Audi Q7, a seven-year-old girl from Zolochiv district, were injured and hospitalized.
Investigators of the Transport Crimes Investigation Department of Lviv Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
