Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Galicia District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, the former head of the court of one of the district courts of the Lviv region was informed of the suspicion of abuse of office and official forgery (Part 2 of Article 364, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect, while serving as a judge, illegally issued two court decisions.
The man drew up and signed fictitious decisions on recognition of ownership of two immovable objects. As a result, they were illegally removed from the property rights of the territorial community of the city.
We are talking about premises with a total area of 220 square meters, located on one of the central streets of Lviv. Their estimated cost is about 6 million hryvnias.
Later, these decisions became the basis for state registration of property rights. After that, the illegally legalized premises were transferred to the authorized capital of the company, the beneficial owners of which are citizens of the Russian Federation.
On the basis of the decision of the investigating judge, the above-mentioned non-residential premises were seized and handed over to the ARMA department.
Currently, the suspect has been dismissed from the position of judge.
Investigations are ongoing.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region under the operational support of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Lviv Region of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
