Over the past day, two pedestrians died in the Lviv district

So, on March 27, around 8:50 p.m., in the village of Nadychi, Lviv district, the driver of a ZAZ Lanos car, a 36-year-old local resident, hit a 59-year-old resident of one of the villages of Lviv district. The pedestrian died at the scene from injuries received as a result of the accident.

It was established that the driver of the car was intoxicated. He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Soon the court will choose a preventive measure for him. The car that was involved in the collision has been seized.

According to the fact, the investigators of the department of investigation of crimes in the field of transport of the police of Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under part 3 of article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons who drive vehicles in a state of intoxication, which caused the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of five to ten years.

Another traffic accident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on the Kurovychi-Rohatyn highway in the village of Pohoriltsi, Lviv district. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz 280 car, a 40-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, hit a 57-year-old local resident. The pedestrian died at the scene from injuries received as a result of the collision.

According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the events.
