Humanitarian trains from the Czech Republic will run to Mostysk

For the fourth time, a humanitarian train arrived in Mostysk from Brno (Czech Republic) with humanitarian aid. Each time the train delivers about 15 tons of humanitarian cargo, and in the opposite direction takes Ukrainians to the Czech Republic.

Today the train arrived at one of the railway stations in Mostyska. Among the humanitarian goods – long-term storage products, medicines, clothing, household chemicals. At the same time, the Deputy Governor of the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic Lukasz Dubets and the Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Yuriy Buchko met to discuss further humanitarian trains to the Lviv Region. It should be noted that Lviv OVA organized the transportation of rubber aid in cooperation with the charity organization “Hope UA”, Czech partners (railway companies) “Gepard Express”, “Arriva” and the authorities of Brno.

According to Yuriy Buchko, residents of Lviv region have the opportunity to travel by train to Brno free of charge for temporary accommodation, where they are provided with comprehensive assistance. In total, more than 300,000 Ukrainians are temporarily living in the Czech Republic.

“We plan to run this train twice a week. This will make it possible to bring humanitarian aid, and from Ukraine our residents will go to the Czech Republic. There are no problems at the border with customs control, although it takes some time. In the future, we want to set up a temporary customs post for border guards at one of the railway stations in Mostyska, ”said Yuriy Buchko.

He also added that all humanitarian aid arriving in Lviv region is partly distributed among IDPs living here, and the rest is sent to areas where there is a need in accordance with requests from the Office of the President and the Cabinet.

“If in the first days of the war we worked more with the Republic of Poland, now we are actively cooperating with the Czech Republic, Germany and England. European countries are helping and are ready to continue to help us, “said Yuri Buchko.

According to Lukasz Dubets, the Czech Republic will continue to support our state, because the war that Russia has started against Ukraine is also a war against Europe. According to him, there are indeed many Ukrainian immigrants in the Czech Republic and there is a problem with settlement, but there are still places in small towns.

Part of the humanitarian aid that arrived today will be sent to two medical institutions in the region, where they provide medical care to the military.
