Lviv OVA, together with USAID, the scientific and expert environment, worked out further directions for the development of the Analytical Portal of the region
Analytical portal of the region is a platform that contains information about the investment attractiveness of the region, its network of public services, useful information for donors, managers and the scientific and expert environment.
The analytical portal of the Lviv Oblast was presented to the public at the end of November last year. It is currently running in a demo version.
As of today, here is information about industrial parks, investment plots, investment objects, privatization objects, the system of providing administrative services in the context of communities and even Starosty districts.
The system is open, and the data will be updated and supplemented, taking into account the needs of users.
To this end, today, January 17, the seminar “Study of the needs of data users in the context of the development of the Analytical Portal of Lviv Oblast” was held. It was attended by employees of the Lviv Oblast, territorial bodies of ministries and other central executive bodies, scientists and experts. The goal is to outline the data that must also be placed on the portal, their availability, safe placement, taking into account the conditions of martial law.
“When the Analytical Portal of the Lviv Oblast was still being conceived, we wanted to create a toolkit, according to which we could conduct analytics, clearly see the things we have done, and plan our next steps so that management decisions are balanced and balanced. Thank you to our USAID partners within the HOVERLA project for the cooperation that lasted more than one month, but resulted in an informative, high-quality analytical product that will be useful not only to managers, but also to business and the public. The portal is already functioning. But this is still only the initial stage and we have plans for its continuous development,” said Andriy Godyk, the first deputy head of Lviv OVA.
He also added: “The head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi clearly emphasized that the Analytical Portal should be a tool that will be able to form correct management decisions. And it is up to the experts in each field to determine which data set should be placed there. The portal should be informative for each target audience, and the information should be verified and up-to-date.”
“The HOVERLA project provides real support to regions and communities, and it is very important that this support is timely. And in this difficult time, our LOVA team is working with a tool that will make it possible not only to solve some specific tasks (providing housing for IDPs, business relocation), but also to plan development after the victory,” said Stepan Kuybida, head of the economic policy department of the Lviv OVA.
Despite the war, Lviv Oblast should plan the development of the region, update the Regional Strategy, form capable networks of public service provision, and in the context of the post-war reconstruction of the state, find its place in recovery programs.
Actually, the Analytical Portal of the Lviv Oblast should evolve into a decision-making support system for managers at the regional and community level. In addition, it will serve as a convenient source of relevant and useful data for business, scientific and expert environment, residents of the region and donors.
We will remind that approximately 10,000 users will be able to use the site at the same time. The portal interface is clear and user-friendly. And in the event of an information threat, administrators will be able to quickly disconnect data from external access.
The system allows you to analyze statistical indicators and present them in the form of tables, graphs, maps, reports and dashboards. It allows data analysis for the territory of the entire region, its districts, communities, starostats, settlements, etc.
Due to security requirements, not all data will be available to the general public during martial law.
