Donors must have an identity document (passport/ Diya) with them.
You can donate blood from Monday to Friday or every first and third Saturday of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Preparation for the donation procedure:
Three days before the procedure, refuse to take analgesics and aspirin, as well as medicines containing them (these substances worsen blood clotting).
Do not drink alcohol 48 hours before donating blood. Exclude from the diet fatty, fried, smoked, dairy food, pickling.
It is necessary to get enough sleep and eat a light breakfast (sweet tea, diet cookies, porridge on the water).
Do not smoke an hour before blood donation.
Do not come to donate blood if you feel unwell (chills, dizziness, headache, weakness).
During the doctor’s examination before donation, answer questions honestly and do not hide information about the use of drugs, alcohol, narcotic substances and previous diseases.
After donation:
rest for 10-15 minutes;
if you feel dizzy or weak, inform the staff;
do not try to walk or drive a car immediately if you feel dizzy;
Do not lift anything heavy with the hand with which the blood was taken for 2-3 hours;
Do not remove the bandage for 3-4 hours and try not to get it wet, this will save you from the appearance of a bruise;
during the next 12 hours, avoid intense physical activity;
eat well and regularly for two days;
for two days, drink an increased amount of liquid (at least 2 liters per day) – juices, water, weak tea (alcohol is not recommended);
come back to donate blood after the recommended break.
