In the Lviv region for charitable contributions plan to create evacuation hubs for Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes

We have the strength charity fund and the LeoStates volunteer project plan to create evacuation hubs in Lviv region for Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their homes

As a result of the Russian army’s invasion, many Ukrainians were left homeless. The UN Migration Agency estimates that over 6.5 million people were forced to relocate to other regions of Ukraine in the first four weeks of the war, most notably to the western regions. More than 3.5 million people have gone abroad. Finding safe and affordable temporary housing for migrants is a big problem: adults, children, the elderly are forced to sleep in unsuitable places: schools, train stations, etc.

Charitable Foundation “We have the strength” led by Diana Myronenko, together with like-minded people, as part of the volunteer project LeoStates, began preparations in the Lviv region to create a comfortable town of modular structures, in accordance with UN requirements.

“Now, 24/7, we are agreeing on the final nuances of the manufacture and delivery of modules to the installation site. We call on entrepreneurs, organizations and foundations to support our initiative, participate in financing and provide Ukrainians with warm and comfortable temporary housing. People are losing their homes and fleeing the horrors of war. A safe place to calm down, gather strength, and draw up a plan of action is what they need most right now, ”adds Stanislav Lutskovych, a Ukrainian businessman who redirected his funds, efforts and team to the project during the war.

The project was supported by the mayors of Zhovkva and Mykolayiv, Lviv region. Preliminarily agreed land plots that will be allocated for the creation of the town.

This is a separate compact furnished apartment of 15 m2 with electricity and a toilet (shower + toilet) for two or four people. The rooms have an original design, are quick to install, resistant to frost and heat. Their service life is over 10 years. The hubs will be set up and deployed in a matter of weeks. Due to the simplicity and speed of installation, such housing is a world standard for migrants. The cost of one equipped and connected to communications module for 4 people ~ € 10,000.
