In the city of Zhydachevo, near Mount Baziivka, there is a tent camp of the Military School named after the Hero of Ukraine Taras Matviyev. This year, more than 30 youth representatives from Lviv Oblast, Ivano-Frankiv Oblast, and Ternopil Oblast took part in the camp and training.
Young patriots learn military tactics and first aid, engage in sports, aerial reconnaissance, interesting games, take part in training shootings, team competitions, and in the evenings Ukrainian songs are played by the fire. Campers also listen to educational stories and watch movies.
The camp will last until July 24.
It is worth reminding that the Hero’s parents, Mr. Taras and Mrs. Valentina, took part in the opening ceremony of the tent camp of the Military School named after the Hero of Ukraine Taras Matviyev, who did a lot for the military and patriotic education of the youth. For them, the most important thing is that their son’s cause lives on and tempers Ukrainian youth, Stryiska RVA notes.

Taras Matviyev was a professional journalist, an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, one of the initiators of the creation and coordinator of the Maidan Search Initiative, a volunteer and activist. Taras died on July 10, 2020, during mortar fire, rescuing his comrades from a burning dugout.
