One of the largest industrial projects in Lviv: 3,600 jobs will be created in the industrial park “Sygnivka”

The Lviv City Council presented the project and concept of the municipal industrial park “Signivka” in Lviv. The previously announced area of the park is planned to be increased from 15 to 30 hectares, involving four additional communal plots of land on the street. North At least 3,600 jobs will be created here. This will be one of the largest industrial projects in the modern history of Lviv.

The key conclusions of the developed concept and plans for the development of the municipal industrial park “Sygnivka” of the Lviv City Council’s investment department were presented to representatives of local and regional authorities, private business, the public sector, and people’s deputies of Ukraine.

It is proposed to create an industrial park for a period of 50 years. The management company, which will be selected at an open tender and will be the project developer, will receive five plots of land in the industrial park for rent. The Lviv City Council intends to support the industrial park “Sygnivka” through the exemption and reduction of local taxes and fees, in particular regarding land rent.

“In the industrial park “Sygnivka” we will be able to develop industrial production, small and medium-sized export-oriented enterprises, create new jobs and attract international experience, technologies, innovations and private investments in the city’s industry and receive more taxes for the city budget. In addition, this project is a preparation for the post-war recovery of the country, because we are creating an industrial platform to attract private foreign business. The successful implementation of the project will improve the investment attractiveness of the Lviv community as a whole,” said First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko.

The Department of Investments and Projects of the Lviv City Council explains that about 150,000 m2 of industrial space is planned in the “Sygnivka” industrial park, which will house manufacturing enterprises of the processing industry, in particular light and food, automotive and its components, light engineering, military tech, textile production , furniture, medical equipment, packaging and printing, production of building materials, aerospace developments and data centers.

“The technological and innovative heart of the industrial park will be a public center with a scientific and technological center. There will be a business incubator with an area of at least 2,500 square meters for start-up projects, which will be located here for free. The community center also includes an educational institution, laboratories, and co-working spaces, which, together with a business incubator, will form a scientific and technological center of the park. In addition, there will be an exhibition hall, children’s rooms for the children of industrial park workers, a polyclinic, catering and trade establishments,” said Andriy Pavliv, head of the Investments and Projects Department of the Lviv City Council.

The industrial park will also include a recreational area with landscaping and a pond on its territory for employees to relax.

According to the Investment Department, future residents of the industrial park must belong to the processing industry, be export-oriented enterprises with registration of a legal entity in the territory of the Lviv community, have proven financial capacity and provide shelter for their employees.

“The organizational model of the industrial park provides that the Lviv City Council ensures the availability of the necessary engineering and transport infrastructure to the territory of the SYGNIVKA IP, and the managing company develops, that is, builds the project, and attracts participants. Residents will rent or buy business premises from the management company. At the request of the resident, the management company will be obliged to build an underground production floor for him.

The industrial park implementation plan provides for the construction of the first phase of the project within one year of signing the contract with the management company. The full implementation of the project will take up to 10 years,” said Andriy Pavliv.

The industrial park will create at least 3,600 new jobs. The full functioning of the “Sygnivka” private enterprise will increase tax revenues to the city budget – about 250 million UAH per year, as well as more than 430 million UAH – to the state budget.

The concept of the industrial park “Sygnivka” will be submitted for consideration and approval at the session of the Lviv City Council. After that, the procedure for registering the industrial park in the relevant state register will begin, and in parallel, an open competition will be held for the selection of the management company.
