Ivan Sobko, Deputy Head of the Lviv OBA, Lubomyr Ferens, Adviser to the OBA Head, Iryna Havryliuk, Director of the Department for Culture, Nationalities and Religions, and Tetyana Plugator, Deputy Director, met with representatives of the Italian humanitarian mission Mediterranea. and the delegate of the Mayor of Bologna, Dejon Begay, the delegate of the Lazio region (Rome), Gianluca Peciola, and the journalist of the official Vatican newspaper, Rafaele Louise.
The Italian humanitarian mission Mediterranea is rescuing refugees in the Mediterranean. But recently they carried out their first mission to Ukraine: six minibuses loaded with humanitarian aid and medicine arrived from Bologna to Lviv. Three more buses arrived to transport refugees from Ukraine to Italy on the way back.
“We could not stay away from the events. We want to help Ukraine and we want Ukrainians to be heard in the world. We also want Italian society to be not only a spectator, but also an active participant in all processes that will help stop the Russian aggressor. That is why, in our mission, we have joined forces with the government and civil society to act effectively, ”said Giuseppe Caccia, head of the mission.
Ivan Sobko thanked for the support and assistance that Italy provides to Ukraine today in the field of humanitarian goods and supplies of medicines.

However, today, unfortunately, the subject of our conversation is the war that is taking place in the heart of Europe.
