Many patients come to the hospital with excessive sweating of the palms. Sometimes they may present with other complaints, and only later it turns out that they have hyperhidrosis.
“In order to cure hyperhidrosis, an incision is made in the axillary areas under the armpits in children up to 3 mm. After this surgical intervention, no scars are visible, and the child recovers completely in fact immediately in the hospital ward,” said hospital surgeon Mykola Mykyta.
In addition, it should be noted that this operation is effective in Raynaud’s disease, which is characterized by symmetrical bilateral paroxysmal spasms of the arteries of the fingers of the hand, less often the feet, and is manifested by pallor, pain and paresthesias.
“The problem is that many young patients have hyperhidrosis, but their parents do not suspect it and turn to dermatologists with complaints of excessive sweating of the hands, fingers and armpits, sometimes there is sweating on the face, cheeks, etc. In winter or summer, patients are cold, there are cases when the skin peels off. Going to different doctors only prolongs the time and does not get rid of the problem,” the surgeon explains.
