Recently, the 54th International Student Olympiad in Chemistry was held at Nankai University in Tianjin (China), where Oleg Komarnytskyi from Lviv took third place.
Eleventh-grader of the Lviv Physical and Mathematical Boarding Lyceum at the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko Oleg Komarnytskyi was one of the four Ukrainian participants in this Olympiad. In total, approximately 1,000 participants from 84 countries took part in the online competition. The student from Lviv managed to win a bronze medal for Ukraine.
The International Chemistry Olympiad is an annual competition for schoolchildren, during which talented young people from different countries of the world test their competence in the field of chemical science. For the first time such competitions were held in 1968 in Prague.
