On the eve of the new academic year, shelters in Lviv educational institutions are brought to a proper state. All repair works are carried out at the expense of the city budget of Lviv.
“In June, all schools were checked from the point of view of security. It was clearly defined what work needs to be done by September. 84% of schools have shelters and we do everything to ensure that they are all in good condition. As of today, 48.5 million hryvnias have been allocated from the city budget for such works. Those schools that do not have shelters will use the shelters that are next to the school,” said Yevhen Boyko, head of the humanitarian policy department of the Lviv City Council.
We remind you that any collection of money in schools is prohibited. Since 2020, the order “On the Prohibition of Forced Collection of Funds in Educational Institutions” has been in effect, according to which employees of educational institutions are categorically prohibited from illegal collection of funds and material assets. As an alternative, it is proposed to accept charitable contributions exclusively on a voluntary basis by transferring them to the registration accounts of educational institutions with the mandatory preparation of relevant documentation and reflection in accounting.
