Every year on the first Sunday of November in Ukraine, the Day of the Social Worker is celebrated. This year it will be November 5. Therefore, the day before, people who dedicated themselves to society were celebrated in the Lviv region.

“I want to express my huge gratitude to you. Your work is important and very necessary, especially today, when so many Ukrainians are suffering from an enemy attack. Socially vulnerable categories of the population need special care, humane treatment, and support. And here your role is invaluable. We are trying to support your working conditions, increase the rating of the profession – after all, such difficult work should be decently paid. Today, as never before, we should be united, only in this way, with joint efforts, we will overcome the enemy”, Ivan Sobko noted.
He also, on behalf of the head of the Lviv OVA, presented certificates of appreciation and thanks to the workers of social protection, social institutions and institutions, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
We will remind you that on November 2, Lviv held the Forum “We are close” on the occasion of the social workers’ day. The participants were representatives of local self-government bodies, social service providers and social workers of communities of Lviv, Volyn and Zakarpattia regions.
During the event, they discussed the development of the system of services in communities aimed at protecting children’s rights, the importance of social work specialists in the development of social cohesion, supporting families and preventing children from entering residential institutions, etc. Ch
