Lviv City Council supports the ideas and projects of young people. For 12 years, the “First Career Step” internship program has given students of all universities the opportunity to undergo an internship at the city hall and participate in the development of the city.
Now a new set of interns has started. “The internship program is quite popular among young people who want to try themselves in local self-government – the Lviv City Council. As a rule, it is about a thousand students every year, and the best of them receive diplomas with honors. Our program has been in operation since 2010, and thanks to it, a significant number of city council employees are updated every year. Interns have a free choice, taking into account their main specialty, which they acquire in higher education,” – the city’s personnel department notes.
“The first career step” offers students to prove themselves, test their knowledge in practice and gain experience by performing practical tasks accompanied by experienced specialists.
The internship period is two months on a flexible schedule (3-4 days a week for 3-4 hours).
Areas of internship: economic; legal; tourist; cultural; transport; social; urban planning; residential; educational; Information Technology; personnel; promotion, etc.
