In the 48th week of 2022 (from November 28 to December 4, 2022), 12,903 cases of acute respiratory viral infections (514.7 per 100,000 population) were registered in the Lviv region, compared to 13,033 cases in the 47th week (519.9 per 100 thousand population). 48.8% of patients are children (6,297 people).
The intensive incidence rate of 514.7 per 100,000 population exceeds the epidemic threshold by 18.6% (434.07).
“Since the beginning of the epidemic season, the circulation of influenza viruses has been determined in 646 cases, including 643 influenza A viruses, 3 influenza B viruses, as well as rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, RS-viruses, metapnevoviruses, and parainfluenza viruses were detected.
According to the reports of health care institutions, 2,177 people were vaccinated against influenza in the Lviv region, including from the risk group – 1,544, doctors – 1,256”, – said Nataliya Ivanchenko, general director of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, an expert in epidemiology and vaccine prevention of the health care department of the Lviv OVA.
