Despite the war, babies are born in Ukraine every day. During the full-scale war, Ukrainian women gave birth to 7,032 children in Lviv city maternity hospitals alone.
In particular, 1,942 children were born in the maternity ward of the St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital of the First Medical Association of Lviv; in the maternity hospital No. 1 and the maternity department of the 3rd city clinical hospital – 5,090 babies.
“In general, during the war, we have more than 7,000 children who were born in our maternity hospitals. Almost 4,000 of them were born in this year, 2023,” the Lviv City Council’s health department notes.
We will remind you that there are three municipal maternity hospitals in Lviv. These are: city maternity hospital No. 1, maternity wards of the 3rd city hospital and St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital.
