During the defense of Ukraine from the enemy, the defender of Ukraine, a resident of the village of Lishnya, Roman Holovatsky, who defended his native land from the enemy from the first days of the full-scale invasion of the enemy, died.
Roman Holovatsky was born on January 28, 1985, lived in the village of Lishnya. He graduated from Lishnya school, later Vocational School No. 15 with a degree in radio engineering. After Vocational School, Roman served in the army, served in Yevpatoria.
After returning from service, the man started his own business and opened his own car wash.
During the full-scale invasion of the enemy, Roman already from March 1, 2022 stood up for the defense of Ukraine – as part of the 223rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment named after the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen.
Later he was transferred to the A7013 military training school, was a driver-mechanic of the 1st platoon of the 9th company of the 3rd mechanized battalion, in which he performed combat missions on the front lines.
Roman served conscientiously, and was awarded a number of decorations from the command of the military unit, the leadership of the Air Force of Ukraine, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the President of Ukraine.
Unfortunately, on January 30, 2025, the soldier died while performing a combat mission, from wounds received as a result of an enemy attack near the settlement of Novoandreyevka, Zaporizhia region.
Of the various relatives, the fallen soldier is survived by his mother, wife, son, sister, brother-in-law, and nephews.

The meeting of the funeral convoy will take place tomorrow, February 4, at 1:30 p.m. at the Heroes’ Crossroads.
At 2:00 p.m. – a city-wide farewell will be held on Rynok Square.
Later, the convoy will head to the deceased’s home in the village of Lishnya, where a parastas will be held at 6:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 5, at 12:00 p.m. in the Church of St. Archangel Michael in Lishnya.
The soldier will be buried at the cemetery in Lishnya.
