The “SkillUP to Social Inclusion” camp was launched in Lviv Oblast

The day before, on March 6, the 7-day SkillUp camp started in Zhovkiv, which is implemented by the youth public organization “Institute of Social Initiatives” with the support of the European Youth Foundation, the Youth and Sports Department of Lviv Oblast and the Zhovkiv Oblast Development Agency.

The project aims to give participants the opportunity to realize their leadership qualities and understand the impact of activism on society by means of non-formal education methods. During the week, the participants will learn how to fight social inequality in society regarding the integration of youth with the help of creative, non-standard methods of education, improvisation, as innovative and effective tools for working with vulnerable youth.

The course participants are representatives of various public organizations, student and youth councils. Therefore, this course will provide young people, who have already taken an active position in society, to gain new knowledge in the field of the most exciting types of art and achieve social inclusion.

“Social inclusion in our society is important, because it assumes that every person, regardless of his origin, religion, gender, age, physical capabilities and other physical characteristics, should have equal access to the opportunities, resources and services that are necessary for him full life But do we all know enough about it? That is why my team and I undertook the implementation of this project,” says the chairman of the board of the Institute of Social Initiatives NGO Taras Repytskyi.

We will remind that on February 21, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Regional State Administration signed a memorandum with the Institute of Social Initiatives, cementing friendly relations for the development of the youth sector in the Lviv region.
