Last year, next to the Lviv Center for the provision of services to combatants on the street Pekarska, 41, opened a private institution – the Legal Aid Center, which provides paid legal services.
This was reported in the Lviv City Council.
The fact that the facility has a similar name and address to the city’s Defender Assistance Center has confused troopers, and the city has already received numerous complaints from people who mistakenly went to the facility and ended up paying for the services they received.
“The Lviv Center for the provision of services to combatants is a communal institution of the Lviv City Council, established 7 years ago. It provides social services to combatants and their families. One of the services in demand is legal advice, especially now, in times of war. The specialists of our center have gained an impeccable reputation and a good name in 7 years.
Last year, in the neighborhood, in the same building, at the same address – on the street. Pekarska, 41, a private Legal Aid Center was opened. It has nothing to do with our City Center, because it is a private institution and provides services on a paid basis.
We respect our visitors, so we make a request. If you are a participant in hostilities, a military serviceman or a member of the UBD family and you need to receive high-quality and free legal assistance in matters of military law, contact the Lviv center for providing services to participants in hostilities. But please pay attention to the sign and name — the Center for providing services to combatants has the logo of the Lviv City Council,” says Svitlana Tkachuk, head of the Lviv Center for Providing Services to Combatants.
