WHY CAN THE AMOUNT OF GAS DISTRIBUTION PAYMENTS CHANGE?
Residents of Lviv Oblast can already review the first payments for the delivery (distribution) of gas in 2023. Compared to last month, December 2022, the amount in the receipt may change in one direction or another.
“This is not related to the change in the distribution tariff, because it remains unchanged. The amount may change due to the calculation method. Thus, from January 1, 2023, the monthly fee for gas delivery will be calculated based on consumption data for the previous gas year, i.e., the period from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022,” explains Oleg Vintsyuk, director of commercial JSC “Lvivgaz”.
In order to find out the amount of the monthly payment for gas distribution this year, the number of cubic meters of gas consumed from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022 must be multiplied by the gas distribution tariff of Lvivgaz JSC and divided by the number of months in the year.
Therefore, those consumers who during the period from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022 reduced their gas consumption compared to the previous gas year, will now pay less for distribution. On the contrary, those who burned more will see larger numbers in their bills.
