Accruals in consumer payments directly depend on the submission of meter readings. So it’s a fairly simple but important process
The operator of gas distribution networks must submit meter readings, in the Lviv region, this is JSC “Lvivgaz”. Next, Lvivgaz uploads the data to a special information platform, where gas supply companies receive information about gas consumption. Sometimes consumers complain about the difference between the given readings and the amount of gas indicated in the bills. This happens when a person forgets to submit a meter reading on time. In this case, the operator of gas distribution networks automatically calculates the amount of gas according to the formula prescribed by law, and the supplier calculates the corresponding amount.
At the beginning of July, more than 2.2 million Ukrainians submitted gas meter readings on time. This helped to avoid incorrect calculations and misunderstandings between gas companies and consumers. Therefore, the responsibility for the correctness of the transmitted meter readings lies with the consumer, and it is he who is interested in transferring them to the operator of gas distribution networks in a timely manner. It is important that after the transfer of JSC Lvivgaz to the management of the Naftogaz group, some of the rules for submitting statements have changed. In particular, information on actually consumed volumes of “blue fuel” will now be accepted from July 28 to August 5. The resources for filing statements have also changed. Now Lvivgaz customers will be helped by a convenient personal account on the my.gas.ua platform. At the same time, the personal account remained unchanged and consists of 10 digits.
