Traffic Accident in Lviv Region: Collision between Audi Q7 and Truck
A road traffic accident occurred on March 3, around 10:20, on the highway ‘Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska’ in the village of Halytske, Zolochiv district.
Accident Circumstances
According to preliminary investigations by law enforcement, there was a collision between an Audi Q7, driven by a 39-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region, and a SAZ-3507 truck driven by a 62-year-old resident of Zolochiv district.
As a result of the accident, a passenger of the truck, a 52-year-old resident of Zolochiv district, who was in the cargo area of the vehicle, fell out, sustained injuries, and was hospitalized.
Investigation and Legal Consequences
The investigators of the Zolochiv district police department initiated criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under this article is imprisonment for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
