Police investigate hooligan actions of teenagers in Truskavets
Pre-trial investigation is underway. Law enforcement officials are questioning the children in the presence of parents and a psychologist, and all circumstances of the event are being established.
Details of the incident
As established by law enforcement, the event occurred yesterday, March 19, around 20:00 on Mazepa Street in the city of Truskavets, Drohobych district. Four girls and one boy aged 11-14 committed hooligan actions against an 18-year-old boy with a disability. All participants in the event are residents of Truskavets.
They recorded the incident on video, which they subsequently posted on one of the social networks.
Criminal proceedings
On this basis, Lviv police investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – restriction of freedom for up to five years or imprisonment for up to four years.
