He committed an accident, fled the scene of the accident and, as it turned out, was drunk. This was reported to the Patrol Police of the region.
The day before, patrol officers received a report about a car accident that took place on St. Yura Square. At the scene, inspectors found a Skoda Octavia car with mechanical damage, the driver was missing.
The patrolmen established the driver’s data and contacted him, after which he came to the scene of the accident. During the processing of relevant materials, signs of alcohol intoxication were found in the 49-year-old driver. The Drager device showed a positive result of 2.22 ppm.
Therefore, the police drew up three protocols against the driver: part 1 of Art. 130 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated), Art. 124 (Violation of traffic rules that led to an accident) and Art. 122-4 (Leaving the scene of an accident) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
By the way, this weekend the patrol officers drew up 28 reports against drivers who got behind the wheel while intoxicated.
