According to the Supreme Court’s ruling, the decrees of the first and appellate courts, which denied the garage cooperatives’ lawsuit to annul the decision of the Lviv Regional Council to declare the ‘Bilogorshcha Peatland’ landscape reserve, were upheld. The prosecutor’s office proved the legality of the regional council’s actions, which established a reserve of 92 hectares in 2019. In 2020, the Riasne-Ruska village council illegally transferred over 15 hectares of this land to cooperatives. Currently, legal proceedings are ongoing to return the land to the community. The Supreme Court confirmed the legality of the prosecutor’s actions and rejected the cooperatives’ claims.
