Unfortunately, as a result of the vehicles, many children died and 96 more were injured.
Since 2024, 2,485 road traffic accidents have been registered on the highways of Lviv and the region, 420 of which were suffered. Of these, 95 road accidents involved children, of which 79 were casualties.
Law enforcement officials call on fathers: tell the children the Road Safety Rules. Remember, you can only cross the road using pedestrian crossings, and you can only crash your bike on bicycle paths.
In addition, make sure that there are light-colored elements on your child’s clothes and bicycles – make sure they are visible in the dark.
And the police have a reminder for drivers: be especially respectful when approaching the main points, pedestrian crossings and intersections, and also follow the rules for transporting children.
