The court found a 27-year-old resident of Stryi guilty of illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of sale of psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) in support of the public indictment by the prosecutors of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office. The court sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The prosecutor proved in court that the man used Telegram channels to distribute advertisements for the sale of the psychotropic substance “PVP”. The convict received the specified substances through the post office, after which he sorted them and later sold them to residents of the Stryi community by the method of bookmarks. During the search of the defendant’s apartment, bags with the specified substance and means for its packaging were found.
