The department resumed work in accordance with the decision of the Stryi City Council.
On the basis of the Stryi City Combine of Communal Enterprises, the department for adoption and sterilization of homeless animals started operating last week.
It functions according to the following method: capture – vaccination – sterilization. Then the animal can be taken into custody. If it is not possible to attach it, it returns to the place of capture. After vaccination and sterilization, the animal stays at the enterprise from two weeks to a month. The company only accepts dogs.

As reported in the Stryi City Council, 300,000 hryvnias have been allocated from the local budget for the capture and sterilization of stray dogs, and the funding will be increased if necessary.
