12 territorial communities of Lviv Oblast received new “school children”

They were purchased instead of those that were withdrawn for the needs of the army, as well as those whose service life is coming to an end.

Today, October 26, new school buses left for 12 communities of Lviv Oblast. The head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, said that in general, the Lviv region centrally purchased 126 buses for the territorial communities of the region. The first 25 were transferred on October 19. The transfer of the second batch of transport took place today.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in the purchase of these buses, because we are fighting for our future – our children. These are Ukrainian-made buses, parts for them are manufactured by more than a hundred factories throughout Ukraine, in particular several enterprises from the Lviv region. Thank you to the team of Lviv OVA, which initiated the appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the introduction of amendments to Resolution No. 590, which allowed the purchase of these buses with the funds of the regional budget and community co-financing, thank you to the government for its support in this matter, as well as to the communities for their understanding and contribution of funds.” , – emphasized the head of the region.

Maksym Kozytskyi also added that this year, about a hundred school buses were withdrawn for the needs of the army, and about 170 more need to be replaced due to the length of their operation. By the end of the year, the need for transport to pick up students in the region is planned to be closed by 80%.

School buses, which were purchased with the efforts of the regional budget and with the co-financing of communities, have the necessary equipment for transporting children with special educational needs.

Today, the following communities received the buses: Novoyarychivska, Solonkivska, Buska, Pidkaminska, Pomoryanska, Zhuravnenska, Mykolaivska, Morshinska, Belzka, Velikomostivska, Lopatynska, and Radekhivska.

“We are very pleased to have received a new bus, because our community desperately needs it. Given the fact that the absolute majority of components are Ukrainian-made, repair and maintenance will not be problematic. We are faced with the lack of spare parts of foreign production, so Ukrainian components must solve this problem”, said the head of the Novoyarychiv territorial community, Petro Sokolovskyi.

It should be noted that the school buses were purchased at the expense of the co-financing of the educational subvention from the state budget, the regional budget and the funds of territorial communities, depending on their financial capacity.
