Today, at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council approved the amount of payment for the transportation of temporarily detained vehicles to special sites. This decision is due to a sharp rise in fuel prices. Therefore, from June 9, the cost of one evacuation service will be from UAH 2,234 including VAT.
“The current tariff of UAH 720 was approved at the end of 2013 at a fuel cost of about UAH 10 per liter. Today, the cost of fuel is on average UAH 58, so evacuation services are unprofitable. In order to provide quality service to tow trucks and evacuate vehicles from places where they significantly obstruct traffic, the tariff needed to be revised, “said Oleh Zabarylo, director of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the City of Lviv.
According to the official, more than 20 cars are evacuated to the penalty areas every day in the city, which creates significant obstacles to traffic.
