Pupils of Ivan Boberskyi Drohobytska State Secondary School, talented athletes Anastasia Semenovych and Bohdan Ivanyk won another victory – at the European Championship in Sports Acrobatics, the couple confidently won three silver awards at once.
The competition lasted from October 16 to 22 in the Bulgarian city of Varna. 294 athletes from 22 countries took part in them. The competition at the competition was extremely high, but the national team of Ukraine once again demonstrated a high level of preparation, winning six medals, of which Drohobych residents won three silver medals.
I am very satisfied with the performances of our athletes at the European Championship. We have young and promising athletes who start their adult careers to high achievements and perform complex elements and a powerful program,” said the coach of the national team of Ukraine in sports acrobatics Yuriy Golyak.
Under the training of coaches Oksana and Zhanna Zhguta and coach-choreographer Serhii Dmitriev, the mixed pair of acrobats Anastasia Semenovych and Bohdan Ivanyk won three sets of silver medals – in all-around, balance and dynamic exercises, becoming vice-champions of Europe in sports acrobatics.
