Today, June 10, the “Lviv City Boxing Federation Cup 2023” tournament began in Lviv.
The organizers of the boxing tournament are the Boxing Federation of Ukraine and the Boxing Federation of the City of Lviv with the assistance of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv OVA and partners.
The tournament is held for the fourth time. This time there will be 9 fights, among them – with the participation of the winners of the championships of Ukraine: Ivan Zavadskyi (57 kg), Oleksandr Orluta (75 kg), Oleksandr Gusev (80 kg), Stepan Yakymets (63.5 kg), Nikita Khokhon (+92 kg); Oleg Terendiy (57 kg), Serhiy Sydorenko (60 kg), Pavlo Priyma (63.5 kg).
The central fight will be between the leading boxer of the Lviv region, the champion of Ukraine, Daniil Zamoril, and Evgeny Goiman from Odessa in the weight category of 63.5 kg.
The head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi wished the participants of the tournament success in the matches, and also thanked the head of the Lviv Boxing Federation Andrii Kotelnyk for the opportunity for young athletes to test their strength and train.
“I support such measures, because young people must train, develop and win, and we are obliged to help those who protected and protect our lives at the cost of their own health.
I thank Andrii Kotelnyk and his team, the most successful boxer in the west of Ukraine, for holding the tournament at a consistently high level. For assistance in the organization of the youth and sports department of the regional administration.
We are proud of all young boxers who are not afraid to go through sweat, blood and defeats in order to ultimately reveal their full potential and glorify Ukraine. Only victory!” – noted Maksym Kozytskyi.
A charity auction will also be held during the tournament, the funds from which will be transferred to one of the Lviv hospitals for the treatment of Ukrainian defenders. The first lot – the flag of Ukraine with the signatures of the members of the National Boxing Team – was sold at the beginning of the competition for 30 thousand hryvnias.
