Support for the military, training in communities and the missile threat: how the days passed in Lviv Oblast

Twice, sirens announced an air alert in the Lviv region – on May 15 at 7:59 p.m. and on May 16 at 02:23 a.m.

In the first case, there was a threat of a strike by Kinzhal missiles from the MiG-31K from the territory of Russia. The second is the danger of a strike by Kalibr missiles from the territory of the Black Sea. The threats did not come true in Lviv Oblast. We thank our defenders in various directions for this!

“In Yavoriv region, a memorial plaque was opened in Ruda Krakowetskyi and a football tournament was held in memory of our defender Myron Vany. Voin was born and grew up in the village of Glynytsia, he was a pupil of the Yavorivska Youth School. At the end of January, on the outskirts of Bakhmut, it came under enemy artillery fire. On January 24, our compatriot passed away. Eternal memory!” – wrote on his official page the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

A unique two-day camp “Rehabilitation through tourism” was held in Lviv region. The participants were soldiers undergoing rehabilitation or rotation, psychologists, lawyers, rehabilitators and young people. They went rafting on the Dniester River, took part in a discussion about war trauma, lived in tents, climbed a climbing wall, and went through an obstacle course with inclusive conditions. During the week, communities of Lviv Oblast can submit documents for the competition “Development of the Network of Youth Centers and Spaces in Lviv Oblast”. Therefore, 15 youth centers in the communities of the region will receive funding for the development of the centers – 400 thousand hryvnias each. More details: https://bit.ly/3OgEney

Repairs were completed in the primary health care center of Chervonograd. On the third floor, administrative premises, a conference hall, a physiotherapy room, vaccination rooms, and a modern comfortable corner for children were equipped. 2 million 754 thousand hryvnias of the institution’s funds were spent on this.

For the communities of Kamianka-Buzka and Dobrotvirska, training “Collection of data” was started within the framework of the project “Human dimension: effective management with the help of data and involvement of communities”. It is implemented by the International Organization for Migration in partnership with the Western Ukrainian Resource Center with funding from the Canadian Embassy.

The 5th All-Ukrainian charity festival-competition of folk, classical and ballroom choreography “Folklore wonderland-2023” was held in Sokilnyky within the framework of the art project “For you, warrior!”. 73 thousand hryvnias were collected for the needs of the Armed Forces.
