2,000 brown trout fry were released into the Stryi River

On May 26, the Stryy River was stocked within the Lviv region.

Thus, 2,000 brown trout fry with an average weight of 3 mg were released at the confluence of the Lybohora River. The fish was raised on a trout fishery in the Tyachiv district of Transcarpathia.

The relocation was carried out at the expense of one of the energy companies in accordance with the scientific and biological justification and the Procedure for artificial breeding (reproduction), cultivation of aquatic bioresources and their use, approved by the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy from 07.07.2012 № 414.

The control over the stocking process was carried out by employees of the Lviv Fish Protection Patrol of the State Fisheries Agency.

“Spring stocking of reservoirs continues. Stream trout is a rare aboriginal fish species. Only the strictest protection and artificial breeding will increase its number, “said the acting mayor. Chairman of the State Fisheries Agency Andriy Zabuga.
