Over 10,000 Cases of Flu and ARVI Reported in Lviv Region in a Week

During the past week, 10,208 cases of flu and ARVI were recorded in the Lviv region. Compared to the previous week, the number of cases decreased by 3.2% or 333 cases. The epidemic threshold (434.07) remains unexceeded.

Age Distribution of Cases:

  • Children (0–4 years): 1,517 cases (14.9%);
  • Children (5–14 years): 2,865 cases (28.1%);
  • Teenagers (15–17 years): 916 cases (9%);
  • Young Adults (18–29 years): 2,809 cases (13.6%);
  • Adults (30–64 years): 2,920 cases (27.5%);
  • Seniors (65 years and older): 709 cases (6.9%).

Of all cases, 51.9% are children (5,298 individuals), while adults account for 48.1% (4,910 individuals).

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine emphasizes the necessity of vaccination against flu and COVID-19 as the most effective preventive measure.
