Healthcare institutions of all levels are paid for medical services by the National Health Service of Ukraine from the state budget
Local budgets finance energy carriers and services that are included in the medical guarantee program, but are not provided with a financial resource.
This year, 1.370 billion hryvnias have already been allocated to the medical sector from the local budgets of the region, of which 737 million hryvnias are for regional institutions.
Within the framework of the implementation of the program of support for the health care sector from the regional budget:
UAH 40.7 million was allocated for the provision of medical drugs for disabled children,
for the prevention of HIV infection and AIDS – 3 million hryvnias,
for the improvement of medical care for cancer patients – UAH 13.2 million,
to improve medical care for patients with multiple sclerosis and severe forms of arthritis – UAH 12.9 million,
provision of emergency cardiovascular surgery – UAH 3.2 million,
provision of specialized medical care to persons who suffered during the Revolution of Dignity and
anti-terrorist operation – UAH 5.6 million,
treatment of other diseases – UAH 8.1 million,
equipping healthcare institutions with highly specialized medical equipment and apparatus – 102.7 million hryvnias.
The use of the above-mentioned funds makes it possible to ensure the continuity of the provision of necessary medical services to the population of the region.
