Yesterday, during a meeting, members of the executive committee decided that starting from 1 September, speech therapy units will operate at secondary schools, including Gymnasiums 1, 4, 8, 12; the Luhovski Family Gymnasium and Sosnivska Gymnasium No. 14.
As explained by the Department of Education, speech therapy units at general secondary education institutions are organised to help children with speech impairments.
Each speech therapy centre is assigned to the relevant general secondary education institution.
Students with speech impairments are admitted to speech therapy centres throughout the school year. Examination of pupils for admission to a speech therapy centre is carried out from 1 September to 30 September and from 1 May to 30 May.
