Since September this year, residents of Dubliany and Sytykhiv have been receiving high-quality drinking water with proper pressure, as Lvivvodokanal has been providing water supply since then.
According to the company, since then, the water utility has already eliminated 35 accidents on water pipes of various diameters in Dubliany, laid more than 100 metres of new water pipeline and is replacing a 300-metre-long emergency section of water pipeline.
“To ensure that the highest quality water is supplied from underground wells and at the right pressure, the water supply scheme has been changed and optimised. In particular, 104 m of new water pipeline was laid and almost 670 m of emergency pipe between Dubliany and Sitykhiv was replaced to supply water from one of the pumping stations in Lviv.
Furthermore, in order to be able to localise possible accidents on the water supply system, we installed new shut-off valves, namely 10 new gate valves, as well as 2 new fire hydrants and 3 more repaired. To monitor the pressure of water supply to residents, we installed pressure sensors in Dubliany and Sytykhiv.
In general, since September this year, our employees have repaired 35 leaks in pipelines of various diameters on this section of the water supply system between Dubliany, Sitykhiv and Lviv. Work is currently underway to replace a 300-metre-long, 200-mm-diameter emergency section of the water supply pipeline on Volodymyr Velykyi Street in Dubliany,” Lvivvodokanal says.
As a reminder, until September this year, water supply to Dubliany residents was provided by Lviv National University of Environmental Management.
