Over the past week, 542 patients were hospitalised in the hromada’s medical institutions, and 64 necessary surgical interventions were carried out. Such data was announced on 19 August at a weekly operational meeting at the city hall by Svyatoslav Kucheryavyi, Deputy Head of the Health Department of the DGC. 16 patients were diagnosed with heart attacks and underwent 7 stenting procedures.
According to Svyatoslav Kucheryavyi, the number of people infected with covid continues to grow in the community over the past seven days – 36 new cases. These are the patients who have sought medical help and taken the appropriate test. Of the total number of patients, 17 were hospitalised in the infectious diseases department of the Stebnytsia City Hospital. Of these, 5 are from the Drohobych territorial community.
In general, according to doctors, the number of covid cases has increased by 20% over the past week.
Patients have an elevated body temperature, with fever lasting for more than three days and difficult to break. There is also a dry cough, severe fatigue, general weakness, and drowsiness.
