Successful Rehabilitation of a 5-Year-Old Boy with Cerebral Palsy in Lviv

Rehabilitation Helps 5-Year-Old Mykyta with Cerebral Palsy Achieve Significant Progress

🏥 “We immediately saw the result after the course”: rehabilitation specialists at our Center successfully assist a 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. Mykyta is 5 years old. The boy was born prematurely at 26 weeks of gestation, weighing only 940 grams. After birth, he was in the neonatal intensive care unit in the Vinnytsia region.

He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Mykyta’s family never gave up and continuously sought the best opportunities for his development. The boy underwent surgery where his hip joints were blocked and his Achilles tendons were extended. Then a new phase began – rehabilitation. Mykyta attended rehabilitation courses in various hospitals. However, later, his mother found information about our Center.

Individual Approach to Rehabilitation

“The boy was examined by all specialists at our Clinic. It’s important for us to establish contact with children and create an individual rehabilitation plan. We try to conduct classes in a playful manner to motivate the child to achieve set goals. With Mykyta, we trained fine motor skills, worked on gait restoration, speech improvement, and sensory impairments,” says Oksana Hdyrya, head of the Center for Acute Conditions Rehabilitation and Restorative Treatment for Children.

“We are very satisfied! We see real results: Mykyta no longer walks on tiptoes! Maria (the physical therapist) works wonderfully with him, having found her approach. We’ve visited different hospitals, but we’ve never met specialists like yours. We found information on Instagram – read a lot of good reviews. And now we’re convinced personally,” shares the boy’s mother, Inna.
