Over-the-counter operative delivery was made by slit-facial surgeons to the UNBROKEN Center and plastic surgeons to the Center of Aesthetic Medicine of the First Medical Association of Lvov.
The first operation for the plastic surgery of the flesh was revealed, and during the hour some doctors turned the beauty of the woman who had destroyed the Russian ammunition.
The patient is 63-year-old Natalia Apolkova, a bagger from Rubizhny, in the Lugansk region. This story has been told to us before. After the beginning of the great war, a hostile projectile arrived in these booths. Small smiles covered the entire upper part of the body, the face, and the face. As a result of an important brain injury, facial paralysis resulted: the muscles stopped functioning and she could not express emotions. The woman looked embarrassed. For help, she contacted specialists at the UNBROKEN center
For a month, surgeons at the UNBROKEN Center and plastic surgeons at the Center for Aesthetic Medicine have been preparing for a unique surgical procedure for Ukraine – myoplasty of facial palsy – in order to renew the ability to express emotions. The multidisciplinary team consists of more than ten specialists – cleft-facial, reconstructive and plastic surgeons, neurologists, neurophysiologists, doctors of functional diagnostics and physical rehabilitation foreign medicine, dermatologists. The team was advised by French doctors.
During the preparation process, it was important to thoroughly trace all the affected parts of the face and identify which of them could be moved to the plot in order to restore facial expressions. With much effort, the doctors found a solution: stop the transposition, so that the bone tissue itself is moved.
“With oncoplastic surgeon Ruslan Salinko, we removed the skin’s flesh, lowered it down to the mouth and brought it down to the flesh in order to restore the function and symmetry of the face. Everything has gone away. We are pleased with the result. The operation itself is so complicated that it exposes a lot of dangerous anatomical structures, damage to which can lead to the risk of death. That’s why the skin stage of the operation was so carefully planned in advance,” says Oleg Kovtunyak, cleft-facial surgeon at the NEZLAMNI center.
The operation took six years and was successful. The next day, Mrs. Natalya began to study language with the therapist in order to re-learn her facial expressions. In front of it is rehabilitation, which concerns the entire river. That woman today cannot get enough of the result – she smiles again. And to complete the new look, she is already wearing her massive earrings, which she loved to wear before she was injured.
